Pool Rules & Safety
By Brooke Ridge Board on
June 7, 2022
Brooke Ridge Residents,
The board of directors would like to take this opportunity to address some concerns that have been raised by residents as well as reiterate some of the rules as it relates to the Brooke Ridge Community Pool.
We would like to remind residents that you must be 14 years of age or older to access the pool without an adult. This rule is posted by the gate to the pool and on the HOA’s pool information page. We ask residents to please accompany anyone under the age of 14 for safety reasons.
We were recently made aware of an incident at the pool involving trespassing where individuals had jumped the fence and fortunately everyone is safe and no damage was done, but the security cameras did capture these individuals and the residents will be notified. We would like to ask residents to please speak with their kids about trespassing on the property (inside the pool fence) when the pool is not open for everyone’s safety. We have seen too many incidents in neighboring communities of vandalism and property damage in recent years that have cost thousands of dollars in repair. We would like to avoid these issues going forward, but if we identify individuals trespassing or vandalizing property they will be turned over to the authorities and have their pool access revoked.
We have received information about an incident that occurred at the Auburndale Estates (neighborhood adjacent to Brooke Ridge) pool recently involving threats of gun violence against residents and their pool attendant. We ask that residents be vigilant and know that this type of behavior will not be tolerated in any way. Any threats made against anyone (residents, pool monitor or friends) at the pool will be taken seriously and will result in the suspension of pool access. We will also involve law enforcement as necessary to ensure we continue to provide a safe environment for residents, their families, and friends to enjoy the pool. We ask that if you have concerns or hear of any threats being made that they be reported to the management company (913-825-0001) or the pool monitor.
Again, we want to make sure that our pool is a safe place for all residents to relax and enjoy their time. This takes all of us working together to make sure we take the necessary steps to ensure everyone’s safety!
Regards,
Brooke Ridge Board of Directors

BROOKE RIDGE POOL IS OPEN!
By Brooke Ridge Board on
June 3, 2022
Brooke Ridge Residents,
We are excited to announce that the Brooke Ridge Community swimming pool is OPEN!!! We again apologize for the delay in opening as we had to change pool companies due to the previous company walking off the job last minute after assuring, they would get us open on time. Prior to the change in pool companies there were some necessary repairs to plumbing and pumps that were identified that our new pool company Outdoor 360 has been working over the past week to get everything fixed. We also had to wait for the pool to be refilled after it had been drained and that takes several days to complete.
We do appreciate those residents that reached out with several recommendations to obtain bids with vendors servicing neighboring communities and each one of those vendors was not taking on additional pools. We have chosen to go with Outdoor 360 for this pool season and the board of directors and HA Solutions will continue to evaluate vendors for the future. We also want to give a big shout out to Jim & Bunny Lowry for all the work they did to help us get the pool open. Again, we apologize for the delay and have been working diligently to safely open the pool for all residents to enjoy!
A few reminders that the pool hours are 8am -10pm daily and additional information on the pool rules can be found on the website. We are still looking for volunteers to help with closing duties at the pool on Friday’s, Saturdays & Sundays. If would be interested in helping the community, please contact Adam Niewald (816-777-8265 or aniewald32@gmail.com). As we have done in previous years, we will look to keep the pool open beyond Labor Day (pending weather) for residents and their families.
We appreciate your patience and please enjoy the pool!
